The control program creates interlocking cutting patterns to help keep raw material inputs to an absolute minimum. Another advantage of laser cutting is the minimal heat transfer to the material, resulting in parts with little or no need for deburring or cleaning. The parts may also be labeled with text or numbers so that they can be identified and catalogued even before being handled or stored.
